Wireless Burgler Alarms: The Installation
The sky is clean and clear, the air outside is crisp, the sunlight coming in through the windows is pure, and there's a breeze. An overnight storm has past now, and there she sits in front of me, her crystal blue eyes drifting from her keyboard to her screen, her eyelashes moving with them. Unknowingly her serenity, and even her very existence stands contrary to what could have easily been. Rewind to several months ago, Ellen Frisk made the decision to take steps to keep her home safer. Recently there was an outbreak of violence, and break-ins in her once quiet neighborhood, and she was beginning to question her own safety. An increase in police patrols didn't even manage to slow the crime wave down. Sadly she couldn't go for what she really wanted, which was a dog, since it was against the rules at her building. A dog large enough to defend her apartment probably would be cramped up in an apartment of that size, so it was probably for the best. The next best thing was some type of alarm system, but she wasn't sure where to start. DSC Alarm SystemsBoth choices have a lot to offer. Each type has similar features and capabilities, but unfortunately the wired alarm systems were more difficult to install. She didn't want to be messing with having to run wires all through her apartment. Having wires all over the place would definitely affect the apartment's appearance negatively. A wireless system had to be the best route. Now she just needed to decide on a brand. Among those available is Ademco Lynx, Napco Security Systems, and DSC Alarm Systems. Each of them had some very useful functionality. DSC has "home monitoring" services, a fire alarm, and also a "panic button" that can get you into your front door quickly. Ademco has a state of the art keypad system that allows you to keep in touch with the police if need-be, and also has a monitoring solution. Ellen finally settled on Napco's alarm system mainly because of it's "IQ Proiler" feature that helps with false alarms. Ellen owns a cat. Because the alarm system can distinguish between cat and intruder, this made the choice easy. Earlier that week Ellen's home was broken into. The silent invader immediately put duct tape over her mouth as she slept. Instantly she was awake, and started trying to defend herself. He grabbed for her arms, and she kicked a few times, enough to break her loose. She made a break for it, and pulled off the tape. She heard her cat screech as the intruder tripped over him. He overpowered her, and the rest was a blur. Fortunately none of it happened though. The reason is because before he ever got inside the apartment, I was watching over her and he new that. Watching over her furniture, her possessions, and even her cat, and now she sits in front of me on this beautiful morning quietly catching up on her email.
