Yes, guitar center would rip you off. Try eBay or Craigslist. You could probably sell all of it for about $500 depending on how old it is.
How about holding on to it for a while, though? I've read a couple of your other guitar questions and since you're just starting you really should focus on playing and forget upgrading.
