Where to find AVR (atmel atmega) guide for complete beginner?
Hi all, I need one thing at home that will use microcontroller , I am quite good at programming with c although I know absolutely nothing about microcontrollers. All I have is ARDUINO 2009 Duemilanove ATMEGA168 - Starter Kit / Pack. I was searching for guide about 3 days althogh all i found was history of those and other things i actually don't need. So, is there any guide, that shows basics without tons of unnecessary things.
Is the Arduino howtos and documentation not good enough?
I would start expertimenting with "Hello world" type apps such as LED blinkers and simple games (to use button or sensor inputs) to get used to programming microcontroller, and how to do timing.
Adding a serial console or LCD display is almost necessary.
