Tom Cruise will bring back popular character secret agent Ethan Hunt in the fourth film in the Mission: Impossible Series. The film will be released in December, 2011 and has been renamed ‘Ghost Protocol’. Action scenes for the new film are currently being filmed in on location at the tallest building in the world in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa which stretches 828m (2,716ft) into the sky! The newest Mission: Impossible adventure will be directed by Oscar-winner Brad Bird, whose recent projects include the animated family action-comedy ‘The Incredibles’. This will be the first live action film that Bird has worked on. Star Tom Cruise doesn’t think of this new film as a sequel, but rather as a separate film in its own right. “I’ve never done sequels to films and I never thought of these films as sequels,” the actor said. renamer
In Fort Worth, Texas, a street is being renamed after a group of female pilots who served in the Second World War. The W.A.S.P. or Women Air Force Service Pilots were responsible for delivering supplies from aircraft factories to military bases. There were over 1,000 of these pilots, and they were not considered part of the military because they were women. They had to wait until 1977 before they received veteran status. The new W.A.S.P. Court was officially renamed during a ceremony held at the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, and the ceremony was attended by two of the original pilots. renamer
Due to many changes including a new sponsor, the Eaglebank Bowl will be renamed the “Military Bowl Presented by Northrop Grumman”. This year’s game will be held in Washington, D.C. at the Robert F. Kennedy Stadium on December 29th. The annual American football event, which is in its third year, will still keep Eaglebank on as a sponsor as well. The massive event will now benefit a new charity, the USO or United Service Organizations Inc. This non-profit organization enhances the lives of members of the U.S. Military by providing morale and recreational services in 140 different centers all around the world. renamer
