Determine Analytically whether the system exhibits low pass or high pass characteristic?
I have a system (set of resistors and capacitors) I have already found the transfer function for the system and I know it is a low pass filter since the capacitor is in front, but how do I prove it analytically?
Let vi(f) = input voltage
Let vo(f) = output voltage
then
vo=k(f) vi, where k is the transfer ration, developed by different ways such as a Thevenin equivalent.
When k(f1) = √(1/2) kf(0), then f1 is the upper limit for a low pass filter.
