Any Suggestions for a road bike?
NO FIXIES!!! but i am looking for something with aluminum/ carbon mixes, or cro-moly/carbon mixes, something that is around 17 lbs. and $2000 or under. and if at all possible, a bike with sram road componets. if not sram then campagnolo. maybe shimano
i was looking at the 2009 Jamis Xenith Comp which is 17 lbs and is all carbon but its over $2,000
also i was thinking of getting a Land Shark bike,( if you dont know what that is, it is a bike manufacturer that makes there bikes all by hand, in oregon, with you choice of compnets, frame material, size, and desgin) but it would be kind of expensive

Hand made bikes are excellent but why pay for it when you don't have too? see here: http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=25383&subcategory_ID=3040 This is just my suggestion as Sram is not necessarily better or worse than a good Shimano group. Campy is expensive too and I cant think of anyone that likes working on it.....Sorry Campy! Don't beat yourself up on just one brand there are many out there to choose from and you will do yourself justice to look at all the options before you choose.... and you will likely find something better after you have already made your purchase, it always works like that anyway!
