What is the use of Clamp Meter, Techometer and Multimeter?

A clamp meter is used to measure electrical current through a wire. The end of the meter has donut shaped jaws which you open and place around the wire that you want to measure. A tachometer is used to measure velocity, typically in rpms. Most tachometers are able to measure a wide variety of velocity types, such inches per minute, inches per second, etc. A multimeter typically combines measuring capabilities for voltage, current and resistance, and higher end types will feature more capabilities such as capacitance, frequency, etc.
