Where to buy a metal lathe or CNC lathe?
Does anyone know where the best place to buy an inexpensive metal lathe or CNC lathe? I do not know much about them but I really need to get one for my boyfriend.
Look up metalworking machine sales in your area.
Having said that, CNC are not lathes you have in your backyard, they are expensive.
Then, even plain "engine" or "centre" lathes come in lots of sizes and prices.
You would need to find out what he was wanting to do with it. Just ask him "what would you do on a lathe" and it could give you clues.
I hope you are nevertheless expecting to pay thousands of dollars.
