Steps To Install Satellite Dish
to many families to own a satellite has become true now It is something they have been waiting for. you would have gone for shopping to know about some best satellite dish at some good offer and price. You may wish to hire someone to install the dish for you or if you are lucky, some retailer dealers offer satellite dish installers free of charge. However not every buyer is accorded this privilege by the retailer. it is more up on the buyer to set up dish. here are some steps for installing the satellite dish easily.
You will need to have the following: Complete Satellite System , RG6 Coax Cable , Satellite Signal Meter, Compass ,6" Magnetic Level OR Post Level, 7/16" wrench, Drill , 1/2" nut driver bit , 2" lag bolts , Zip Ties OR Black Tape and Staples OR Screw Clips.
now look for some suitable place for raising the dish on the compound. The site should have clear sky line and be able face the direction as instructed. It should be free from any interference especially when it comes to searching of signal. the other important thing while installing the satellite dish is to bolt the mast firmly and it is also important to position the mast plumb in every direction. you must be sure of bolting it tightly and it should be plumbed.
after this now place the antenna dish on mast and don’t not tighten the bolts. Put your coax cable through the dish then out where we have the LNBF and then connect the cable. Then bolt the LNBF to the dish. Do not tighten the bolts to much. now read the manual guidance for installing the satellite dish in order to confirm the correct skew and raise the dish according to locality. If a neighbor has a receiver then it will be easy to copy how his/her is raised.
The end of the coax cable should now be connected to the meter and turn on or just use you own television set to confirm the signal if you don’t have a meter. now you have to turn the dish according to the instruction given in the installation manual to check the meter and locate to the signal correctly otherwise just look at the neighbor’s dish. after getting the signals just bolt the dish. it would be fine if the adjustment is done horizontally but it can also be adjusted vertically. now let the reflector of the dish rotate freely.
now by moving the reflector by up and down determine the signal efficiently. and then take coax from dish to receiver and connect it. finally by reading the manuals for the installation of satellite dish just connect the receiver to television and do the required test.
