What adapter to use for coaxial antenna cable in my stereo?
I just bought a new JVC stereo for my '93 Civic CX. I already took care of the wiring harness adapter and I was ready to install the radio but when I pulled out the old Sony radio I realized that the cable that comes from the antenna was coaxial. I've tried finding adapters on the internet to convert coaxial to conventional antenna connector but was unable to.
Does anyone know the specific name/model of the adapter or any link to find it online?

Most vehicles use coaxial antenna cable, but many use different plugs at the end. The type of connector you see on home video equipment is called an "F" connector. I've never seen one used on a car antenna cable, though. The standard after-market car audio antenna plug is called a "Motorola" plug, and that's what your Civic was originally equipped with. If your car's antenna has an F connector on the end, someone must have installed it for some reason.

It's rare, but there is such a thing as a cable with an F-connector on one end and a Motorola plug on the other. It's mainly used in car audio store displays, when an antenna signal is being distributed to a group of decks. You can find it here: http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/28-2145
