Installing one Demister
The Benefits of Mirror Demisters:
There is a simple treatment for those misted up mirrors within your bathroom so you will no longer have to wait for mist to pay off before drying you hair, shaving or gaining make-up. Mirror demisters are totally safe and resistant to moisture, vibration and dust. They're linked to your bathrooms lighting supply and keep your mirrors mist free by gently warming the mirror.
Installation Guidelines:
It is important that heaters are checked for damage before installation to ensure that the metallic filament will not be creased which the protective film will not be pierced. The scale should also be investigated to ensure it'll fit on the mirror with a minimum 10mm gap between your film edge and also the mirror edge. The demister must NOT be visible after installation. The mirror for use in the application has to be ideal for the purpose. The mirror must be completely flat and without any stress and crack lines. NO accessories or another materials should be adhered or fixed to mirror surface as this can cause uneven temperatures and stress upon the mirror. The mirror demister must be mounted directly on to the reverse side from the mirror OR onto a surface which can be in direct experience of the mirror.
The demister is self -adhesive, Few other adhesives needs to be used. The mirror must be attached to to some wall which can be sound, includes a flat and level surface, which is without any moisture. The wall must be capable of bearing the body weight of the mirror. The mirror has to be fixed completely flat to the wall to prevent stress to the mirror as well as in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, using suitable fixings.
Mechanical fixings mustn't pierce or touch the demister OR create undue stress on the mirror or demister because of over tightening. If the demister is usually to be honored the wall the entire top of the mirror back and demister has to be coated with the adhesive. All of the installed aspects of the demister like the wiring has to be protected and covered in order to be inaccessible after installation, in compliance with national safety standards. The demister comes with a power supply cable. This cable can be extended if neccessary using suitable connectors along with a correctly rated cable.
Fitting Instructions IMPORTANT: The film needs to be applied slowly inside a constant motion since the adhesive protective cover is removed. The protective cover should NEVER be completely removed before applying the heater to the mirror. The heater should not be creased OR folded whenever you want. Ensure no air bubbles are trapped under the film surface.
Mark the positioning of the demister on the back from the mirror.
Peel the adhesive protective cover away from the corner and set on the corner of the area to become covered.
Always slowly peel the adhesive protective cover off of the film surface, applying firm, even pressure to stick the film for the surface since the adhesive protective cover is removed. (ensure no air bubbles are trapped at any time).
Once the heater is honored the mirror surface, locate the connector block followed the mirror and measure its position in accordance with the mirror edges.
Cut a recess in the wall the location where the measured location with the demister power cable connector will probably be sited, in order to permit the mirror to become adhered flush against the fall surface.
Feed or recess power cables to point of connection as required.
Affix mirror to wall using suitable fixings / adhesive as per the mirror manufacturer's guidelines, ensuring that no cables or connector are trapped behind the mirror which make the mirror to become stressed or sit unevenly on the wall.
