To crimp a phone line male module on my phone line does the line have to be stripped a little before crimping?
The end of my phone line broke and I bought a crimping tool and module and lost the instructions. I pushed the phone line into the crimper and the line still doesn't work. Do I need to strip the four wires back any?
if you are talking about crimping a 4p4c connector onto the end of the line cord then you only need to strip back the outer jacket... do NOT strip the inner insulation.. make sure that the inner wires are pushed all the way forward onto the 4p4c connector before crimping...
if your line cord only has 2 wires, then MUST be in the 2 center pins...
it is cheaper to just replace the line cord...
