Nikon S80 Review
Nikon has announced the release of the Coolpix S80, a Coolpix S-series model that incorporates advanced touch panel functions in a stylish design. The Nikon Cooplix S80 features a widescreen 3.5-inch electrostatic OLED touch panel with a wide viewing angle and uses the 14.1-megapixel sensor to take shots. Compared to the 288,000-dot monitor built into its predecessor, the S70, the Coolpix S80 monitor offers resolution increased to approximately 819,000-dots.
The Coolpix S80 also supports HD (720p) Movie with optical zoom and stereo sound available during recording. An HDMI output enables easy playback on an HDTV for big‐screen viewing of photos from a recent vacation or HD video from the latest family gathering.
Besides the stylish design and double color, size surprisingly thin Nikon S80 is in fact perfectly portable all in Easy auto mode ensures that you can take beautiful pictures without worrying about technical details. Behind the scenes, the five integrated technologies such as anti-blur features (including VR Image Stabilization and motion detection) ensure you capture images exactly as you see them.
To ensure consistently beautiful results, the Nikon Coolpix S80 processing system is based on EXPEED C2. With improved response performance from the EXPEED C2 processing engine you will never miss that perfect shot, even if your subject is moving. Custom designed for the Nikon S80, EXPEED C2 engine ensures amazing pictures and videos of each scene you shoot.
To further help users take better photos, the Nikon Coolpix S80 includes the 17 scene modes, which automatically recognizes the shooting situation and adjusts camera settings accordingly for amazing photos in any environment. For great portraits, the Coolpix S80 features Nikon's Smart Portrait System, which incorporates a series of automatic functions including improved Smile Timer, In‐Camera Red‐Eye Fix, Face‐Priority AF, Blink Proof, Blink Warning, and Skin Softening to flatter even the most camera‐shy subject. In addition, the Retouch Menu lets users easily adjust images in camera with the touch of a finger by choosing from a wide range of functions, including Selective Color, Soft Focus, Color Options, Cross Screen, Fish‐eye Effect and Miniature Effect. In playback mode, the user can even add moving stamps for an animated effect.
