Midi Controller Or a Digital Piano?
The digital piano costs a little bit more, but is a midi controller that bad? Im new to keyboards and i have no idea if its good or not. Which should i pick? its a m audio keystation pro 88 and a prokeys 88
A digital piano often has a MIDI output, so it can be used as a MIDI control. But a digital piano has 'weighted keys'. It feels more like a piano, while a regular MIDI keyboard feels more like an organ.
If you're a piano player, and you play mostly piano music, then a digital piano is a better choice because an organ-style keyboard will feel funny to you. But if you want to use it as a MIDI controller for all kinds of digital sounds, then you want a regular keyboard.
