2000 honda civic si overheats?
2000 honda civic si turbo. car overheats when you drive aggressive for a while, turn on the heater and the temperature goes back down to normal. i'm just buying this car now. apearently this problem began after being bored to 1.8L (turbo and all other parts were on already)
-Motor is bored over to a 1.8L
-JE 8:1 low compression pistons

-Act Clutch
-ARP head bolts
-Turbonetics T3/T4 hybrid turbo @8 psi
-boost controller
-tial wastegate
-k&n CAI

-Apexi AFC Neo airflow converter/ Vtec controller (Professionally tuned on Dyno @ Backstreet Performance)
-3 in. exhuast from turbo back into duals
-Fal radiator fan
-fuel regulator
-Msd igniton.
-HKS blow of valve
-Poly motor mounts
-higher flowing oil pump
-Digital Wideband
-Boost and Fuel pressure gages

Pretty typical.
They focused all the money on going faster, and not anything at all on making sure that the higher performance would actually last.
Happens all the time.
Get a new radiator, get new hoses, get a higher flow water pump, etc.
Think of it this way. Think about a guy who goes to the gym, and only increases the size of his biceps.
Sure, it looks impressive. Until his wrist tendons snap from over-exertion, because he didn't focus on anything else.
And now his impressive bicep-ed arms are in a cast, and he looks like an idiot.
Same thing.
Expect the engine to blow within a month.
