Will this audio system hit? be good? kenwood amp and 2 12" shallow mount subs?
I have a pioneer double din head unit. I had a lanzar vibe266 2000watt suppose to be 1000rms but doubt its that powerful and i had two 12" boss shallow mount hooked up they sounded real nice for about 2 weeks now they re garbage... now im getting a kenwood KAC-9104D MONO 1800W 900rms with 2 kenwood shallow mounts kfc-ws12 theyre 1400watt max and 350rms do you think this will last? will it bump much better than my old system? and what ar some good speakers for a good price 5 x 7 or 6 x 8? i appreciate the help...
You should get a noticable improvement. The rms rating on the 266 in Lanzar's manual is 230x2 at 2 ohms, or 460w bridged at 4 ohms, and that's right in line with its two 20A fuses.
So being better subs getting close to twice the power I would expect a pretty noticable improvement. A good enclosure is a crucial element as well.
I've always liked the sound of infinity/jbl speakers. Pioneer is usally good for the cost. Kicker's are nice. Probably can't miss with Alpine.
