A question for pistol packing WOMEN ONLY about dealing with female attackers.?
I can't believe I'm even asking this, but I've had three different female firearms/self-defense instructors separately tell me the best place to shoot a female attacker is the lower pelvic region. They say it'll cause faster incapacitation than a shot to her chest, because of how our uterus is SO vulnerable & our ovaries are so sensitive to pain. Extreme rapid blood loss & massive shock, yadda, yadda, yadda. They also say self-defense ammo is designed & powered for men and often goes right thru women, without energy transfer, endangering innocent bystanders. Better chance of the bullet stopping inside, downward angle if not.
Just thinking about it makes me queasy, but I don't want any of the local girl gangbangers taking me out, either! I don't doubt what they said for a second. I just don't like the idea, for obvious reasons.
So I want to ask the other pistol-packing WOMEN reading this what their thoughts are.
Why can't a pistol-packing man answer the question?
Why can't a pistol-packing man have enough discretion, maturity & respect for women to not force himself into the designated target audience to whom the question was addressed?
I, too, teach women how to defend themselves against violent, predatory criminals - male and female. I know you find it distasteful, but those gals gave you the straight scoop. Violent female criminals have become a reality to the extent that training for confrontations with them is a necessary part of the overall lesson plan.
Nobody wants their bullet to pass through a mugger and then hit an innocent party! Everybody knows we have a much higher tolerance for pain than men do. This technique was borne out of a collaboration of female doctors and lawyers within the women's armed self-defense community. It totally overrides the level of pain even a determined woman can withstand and incapacitates her until the shock of the rapid blood loss renders her unconscious or flat out kills her - all while minimizing the danger to bystanders positioned behind her. Maximum effect, minimum liability.
I get the feeling you want to know if others who are trained in this technique could actually DO it in a justified shooting situation. I, for one, will not hesitate to use it, if my life (or that of my husband, son or daughter) is threatened by an armed female attacker! That WILL be my primary target, but I'll keep all options open.
