How to Make French Beads Flowers

Beautifully crafted with new and innovative ideas, French Beads Flowers create a mesmerizing look for your living room. But have you ever wondered how you can make these pretty flower arrangements at home? It can be done in a few simple steps. Let us see how.

To main idea is to make a basic row which is the center of all the petals and leaves and encircle that basic row with beaded wires in order to create a French beaded flower. The technique used to make the center of the flower is known as the "continuous loop". The basic requirements to make the French beaded flowers are seed beads of approximately 10 to 11 gauges, thin wires that are flexible enough to be bent easily and a roll of green tape. You must make sure that the color of the wire used must match with the color of the beads you intend to create the beaded flower arrangement from. If you cannot find the wire that goes with the color of your beads then you must go with golden or silver colored wires as these two colors compliment every other color. The length of the wire must be between 24 to 26 gauges.

To start with, you must put the beads of the desired color into the wires and then crimp the wire or curl it at the ends so that the beads do not fall off. After that, make a loop of the wire within an inch of other beads to about three inches of the end of the wire. Make sure that the loop is created under the beads and twisted at the top a couple of times. The basic loop must be about six inches long as it will be used for the stem of the flower in the end.

The beads from the spool must touch the "basic" row. The new beads must be fit in a way that it gives a cluttered look at the top. Then, you must wrap the spool wire around the basic row in a way that the beads in the basic row must not be able to move at all. After that, the process of putting beads in the wire must be repeated again after turning the whole piece upside down. The last row must be finished neatly at the bottom by wrapping the wire two to three times in order to finish the final row.

Now to make petals, you must wrap some empty wire in a diagonal fashion down towards the loops. The bottom of the loop and the spool wire must then be cut off. At the top, cut all leaving a little "nib" around that extra wire and then bend it towards the spool wire to make the first petal. You can repeat this process another three to four times to make more petals.

Now, in order to make the leaves you must follow the same process as described above with green beads and wire. To create the stem, go about twenty to twenty-five beads until about two inches of the crimp at the end of the wire to make a tight self-loop. Then, move further down the spool wire before making another loop. Follow the same process for about ten to twelve times of such loops along the wire. Once you are through, cut the extra wire off the spool. Finally, bunch and twist all these loops together to make a final strong stem.

Once all the pieces are separately created, it is time to assemble them together. Using the tape wrap all the parts of the beaded flower in an appropriate manner to give the final shape of a flower. This is how you will get your beautiful French beaded flower. Now, you can make as many beaded flowers as you wish of different colors and designs to create a wonderful bunch for your living room.
