Can i run my CPU without the thermal paste on processor and heatsink?
Is it o.k. if i run my computer with out putting thermal paste on my processor and heat sink? is there a problem with it? thanks!
If your processor (CPU) runs at the recommended temperature without thermal grease then yes! I do not recomend not using it though! Use the thermal grease. I only paid about 12 bucks for a seringe of it at Best Buy (sterling silver in it). That is enough to do about 4 to 6 CPU's though! A 12 dollar tube of thermal grease is much cheaper than a new CPU!
