sata 1tb hard drive not found?
i am building a new computer for my very 1st time. i have every thing pluged in(mother board, cpu,ram,video card, power suply, fans, led's, cd drive, and my new 1tb hard drive). i can get the comouter to run the xp disk and stard the install. but when i start the install it says that i have no master hard drive and no slave hard drive. i have checked all of my cables and they are all pluged into the right spots.
any one have any ideas?
There should be a thing on the back of the hard drive where you move a bit of plastic to make the hard drive either the master one or slave one. Check that it is in the right place.
