led brake light strip diagram confusion?
I have to hardwire an LED brake light strip and I only have 4 wires: Ground, running lights, left turn, and right turn. But I'm confused because there is a brake light, but the diagram I have is fed from the blinkers (???)...
-------->------- ground
-------->------- running lights
-------->------- left turn signal ----------|______ brakes
-------->------- right turn signal --------|
this is the exact diagram I was given... but to the way I'm thinking, if I wire it like that, my turn signals are going to act as brake lights... Does anyone know the right way to wire it? Because I just can't seem to think of how
It's a 97 Ford Explorer, the blinkers are separate from the running/brake lights. When I wired it the way I thought, my blinkers were brake lights, even showed that way on my dash board.
If the blinker circuit is separate from the brake lights, you will have to decide between wiring in the blinkers OR the brake lights because you don't have enough circuits or wiring in the LED setup you have to accommodate both. while you can get some led lit for the wire to connector if possible .
