Is it possible to reach very close to the speed of light by emitting extremely long but frequent wavelengths?
For example, if you created an object that vibrates so intensely and at such a high pitch (you couldn't feel it in your hand), would the combination of all the wavelengths eventually reach very close to the speed of light?
No, the vibrating object would never be able to vibrate at speeds greater than the speed of light. Anything that is emitted from the object would also not be able to exceed the speed of light.
However, I would say that exceeding the speed of light is something that happens all the time and all around us.
Einstein's theory of relativity does not forbid speeds greater than light. What it does forbid is that information or signals can NOT travel faster than the speed of light.
It is well known by physicists that the Universe is expanding at speeds far geater than the speed of light. but since no information or signal is moving, just space itself, there is no violation of physical laws or paradox.
