how to Increase the load regulation in DC variable power supplies?

I'm constructing a DC variable power supply, in that i'm facing that poor load regulation. that is when connecting load, the o/p volt is reduced up to 1.5V from its original set value.
I'm expecting good suggestions:

Does your circuit actually have a feedback regulator? Is it going into current limit? Without a schematic and an idea of what load you are using, we can't really guess.
