Peltier/TEC modules. If I have a relay switch, can I plainly mount it to my current PSU?
Instead of purchasing a secondary (additional) PSU, i.e. the Meanwell 600W single output switching power supply to provide the power necessary for peltier/TEC module. Can it be possible to obtain a single PSU with 1000W or more with 85% load capacity and attach the relay switch to it so it can power on/off with the PC? I am not very keen in having two PSUs inside my PC case.
All I want to do is have a 1000-1200W PSU powering all my components; peltier, CPU, fans, etc. As long there is enough amperes, I plan on attaching a molex connector to the peltier and plug it in the PSU. I don't see any reason to have two PSUs: one for powering the motherboard while the second for the peltier, quite silly if you ask me-more of a waste! I just want to know if this is possible, powering my peltier by using the one and only PSU that I already have without any repercussions.
