How to make a test solution for a glucose strip meter?
Is it possible to make a glucose solution out of sugar and water that a glucose meter can read? I am aware that there are solutions that can be purchased but I'd much rather make it if possible.
could you tell me a concentration of sugar vs water that will produce a normal blood glucose level?
all i really want is a value to come up on the glucose meter. it doesn't have to be perfect.

I'll check my bg when I'm about to get a lab draw done, because the lab usually checks bg. When I get the lab results I can compare to what my meter said at that time.
This isn't good a s a test but It is useful.
A BG meter will measure the difference between regular and diet coke. I've tested it if I'm not sure when ordering in a restaurant. Regular coke displays a high reading -- diet displays a lower number.
