Could i have mold in my closet there is alot of excess moisture?
i have a closet right next to a bathroom its wall is next to it, i put a 'damp rid' bag to collect the moisture and it was full of water does this mean i could have mold in my walls like the pipes are leaking/
Mold grows rapidly in dark, warm and damp area. Your closet seems to be an ideal breeding ground for mold. Empty the closet and check thoroughly to see if molds are growing. If so, you may also want to check your clothing. Isolate those mold contaminated items from the rest and treat them outside of your house.
If your closet is of wooden type, use a damp cloth to wipe off the mold. Then spray the spots with white vinegar solution, mix one part of vinegar to one part of water. Let the vinegar solution to sit for at least 15 minutes before wiping with clean water. Allow the areas to dry completely.
After you are done with the mold cleaning, try to relocate your closet away from the bathroom to prevent moisture problem. You need to address the moisture problem or else molds will keep coming back.
