Electronics help in diode and resistor concept plz?
Q1)what is the difference in the diode of difirent makes?(ofcourse the modle number and the company making it but is there a differnce of the drop(0.7) if all the diodes are of silicon but different model numbers??
i.e. is the a difference in the drop of lN4001 AND lN4007?
Q2)How to measure the drop of the diode by the help of a anologue voltmeter?? (i.e in digital multimeter if we just connect the terminals of the meter to the diode it shows a drop??)
Q2) resistors are used to limit the flow of current but do they have any influence over voltage?? (consider like a 1.5V battery connected in series with a resistor connected in series to a smallll load (LED) )?
Q3) what tolerance is indicated by the golden color 5% or 10%

silicon diodes are mostly the same,
diode drop about .7 volts
1n4001 to 1n4007 have different reverse peak voltages , like 50 volts to 200 volts
if current flows through a diode, you can measure the voltage with analog meter. put the lead across the diode, measure .7 volts. battery, res, diode, led. in series, use meter. Vbat= Vdiode +Vres+Vled
Q2B, V=IR... voltage drop across the res is current X resistantance
Q3, gold = 5%
