How can I measure the RPM of a beak mans electric motor using a multimeter?
I have a small beak mens electric motor that was home made. It is a little small but it works just as fast. My multimeter is from master craft and it's model number is 52-0055-06.
My Multimeter does not have the RPM or hertz measurement. If that help?
I am gusseing that it does not have it though.
With this equipment you can't measure the exact RPM.
However if you measure the current through the motor, it will drop to close to zero at full speed.
At various lower speeds the current increases.
Although you don't know the figure you know that if two different loads produce the same current then the speed and the loads must be the same.
