2 pole GFCI breaker and 210.7 (b)?
due to limitations on sapace i need to provide an dedicated circuit to the top and bottom circuit on a duplex receptical. this can ba achieved by breaking the tab on the side of the receptical, and by following NEC 210.1 (b) using a two pole breaker to feed the receptical i can meet code.
My question is this. the receptical is out doors and needs to be GFCI protected. if i install a 2 pole GFCI breaker will i end up with nusience tripping, this is on a 3ph Y system.
No. As long as your neutral's (created through transformer or not) are seperately derived from the same dedicated point of origin as the breaker intended to protect it,....they will be ok.
I have never used or heard of a 2-pole GFI breaker. Does it have seperate neutral coils or just a single?
