White Smoke?
I just bought a Mazda Mx-3 1.6l 4cy, and it runs perfect when the guy drove it to my house, he told me it needed new plugs and wires, but now afte sitting for 2 days i started it and it started smoking (white) really bad but it stops once the car warms up, the pcv valve is bad so i need to change that, but the coolant is full in both the reserve and the radiator and i dont see any leaks anywhere, the oil was about a quart and a half low, and is not milkshaky. the car itself still has alot of power and doesnt seem to run rough. What could be causing it to smoke?
It's called water condensation, a catalytic converter runs so hot that when you shut it off the moisture in the air condenses in the converter and exhaust pipe, when you start it the water immediately turns to steam until it burns out. oil smoke is grey, gas smoke is black, water vapor is white.
