Watson fc 130 frequency counter help?
i build my own small transmitters not very powerful but when i test them with the watson fc 130 i get a load of spurious signals that are stronger than my transmitter so what im asking is has anyone used one of these with frequency counter test leads / probes as opposed to the antenna also if you have what type are they and where did you get them from

Your home make transmitter did not fine tune with the antenna. By accidental measurement with the frequency counter, a small capacitance from the input probe of counter was added to the final stage of RF output,and accidental tune up into a better matching with the antenna. That is why you saw a higher RF reading (cancelling some reflect RF power). One more thing to remind you, never directly measure the RF antenna output with a sensity frequency counter. If the RF output is big enough, the counter input might burn away (become less sensity to signal).
