how to install a 7805 voltage regulator?

i am using a arduino duelmilanove with a protoshield to control 2 servos, i figured out that the five volt rail can cause brownouts if more than one component is used so i am now forced to use a 7805 voltage regulator to limit 9 volts to 5 volts in order to power 2 analogue servos, but i dont know how to install the regulator properly

Download the datasheet and study it, it will have the details needed.

But don't assume the regulator will get you more power, it won't.
