Busted USB laptop ports - I don't have 9-pin serial port either??
Both my USB slots on my HP Pavilion laptop are busted.. the company's estimate to fix it is $300
I see bus card adapter but the ones I can find you also have to plug to USB..(wtf?)
It has a serial port but it's not a 9-pin port it's 15 pin.. but 3 rows of 5 pins .. all the adapters I see are 9-pin
Any suggestions?
if you have a Pcmcia Slot, most laptops do, you can get a Pcmcia card that has USB ports. Here is a link but you can find this product at most good computer stores for around $40 - $50.
