How to make an analog or digital ground?
I know the the goal of using separate grounds is to reduce the amount of noise in the system. How would I create an analog ground or how would i create a digital ground? my thoughts are to connect a shunt capacitor from the power source to ground.
you connect them both together at one point. Other than that, they should remain separate, with analog components tied to analog ground, and digital parts tied to digital ground. Analog (usually ±15v) and digital supplies (+5v) also have their grounds separated and tied to the correct ground points.
Same for bypass caps, connect them to the proper ground. And watch where you connect cable shields. and resistor dividers, etc.
