Low-pressure Glaucoma: Causes and Balanced Treatment
The eye disease named as Glaucoma is a sickness related the optic nerves. The sickness generally damages the optic nerves. It can also lead to a complete vision loss gradually. The disease also causes due to an extreme strain of fluid inside the eye. The disease will also lead to failure of retinal ganglion cells. Glaucoma has numerous types and subtypes. The Glaucoma can be of many types like the Low-pressure Glaucoma. This is also called a Low-tension glaucoma. This type of disease grows in that part of the eyes, where the pressure is low. In a condition of Low-pressure Glaucoma, the minute arteries of the optic nerves do not get enough blood. In a human body, the blood starts flowing from the heart to the head and later the blood reaches to the eyes. The blood circulation runs in the small arteries that locate behind the eyes. These arteries supply blood to every other tiny tissue inside the eyes. If the eyes are suffering with low pressure Glaucoma, the blood supply in the nerves gets very low pressure or difficulty in a normal blood circulation. Thus, the nerves do not get enough blood. Researches done in the past years find that the treatment should include a cure in the optic nerves. They also try to make the blood circulation normal. The treatment also includes stimulating medications for the brain.
In a treatment process, the Eye drops for glaucoma are the first choice for any physician and patient before going for a surgical treatment. Numerous drops are available in the market for the treatment. The eye drops can give a relief; however, can also create a little irritation. Some of the eye drops are known as Beta-blockers. The drop includes Teoptic, Betagan, Betoptic, Timopotol, Nyogel etc. these types of drops help to diminish the fluid production inside the eyes. The Prostaglandin or the Prostamide analogues drops include Xalatan, Lumigan and Travatan. However, this drops can lead to oink eyes, they can vanish within some days.
