Will this SSR (Solid State Relay) work for what I'm attempting to do?
I'm wiring a system that will result in string lights "dancing" to music as described in this tutorial: http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-Music-Controlled-Christmas-Lights/
It specifies that you need a SSR, a solid state relay, to make this contraption and they give a link to this product: http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/758014-relay-ssr-2-0a-sip-dc-d2w202f.html

What I want to know is if this will work as a replacement for what I'm trying to do?
It will work. I could not get the data sheet for the Crydom part to check pin assignments but I am guessing they are the same. The input voltage is the same, output voltage rating is the same. The part from ebay actually has double the current rating so you could even power more lights through it.
