How do I set my direct tv remote to my T.V?
Like I am only able to change the station with my remote, I am not able to lower the volume or turn th t.v. off with my remote, how do I set my remote to be able to do all that?

What type of direct tv receiver do you have? If you still have the manual, there should be a list of tv's in the back of it with an appropriate code that you type in to allow it to turn off/on the tv and adjust the volume. If you give me the model number i can give you specific instructions.
