Electric Dryer Repair?
Kenmore model 110.63942101 - when I push the start button, it runs, but instead of continuing to run the cycle, stops as soon as pressure is released from the button. the pushbutton switch is $6.95 on http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect but I'm wondering if the problem may be with the cycle sensor. I performed all the self-tests & they all passed, so I'm hoping it's just this switch. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Hi, I've seen this often. It usually is the computer board in the console where the timer is. Don't try putting something to hold the start button in to keep the dryer running as that will burn out the motor. Good luck.
I've gone to the Sears site, I see the computer board ($135) from Sears. But there also is a motor relay in the console that it might be. Good luck
