Need help with xenon headlights?
I am looking to buy xenon headlights for my vw golf and i want to know if theyre legal in uk... I wabt 6000k super white... I dont quite understand the difference between xenon and hid, if you type in h7 xenon you can get them for around 2 pounds! I just want a brighter bulb.. Dont want to convert to hid or get projectors..
What are the best types of lights?? I like them smd headlights but i doubt they have any projection.

The confusion is there are two types:
'Xenon' bulbs are traditional filament bulbs that uses a little xenon gas and some altered materials to produce more light. As long as you get white ones they are entirely legal. Most popular are Osram Nightbreakers and Ring Xenon Max, but there are loads here: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/h7-bulbs.html
HID bulbs do not have a filament - they use an electric arc in xenon gas with metal particles. They are bright, but need a ballast unit to supply the very high voltages.
