HELP! GTP windshield wipers stuck in upright position!!?
My fiance' and I have a 98 GTP and whenever we use the wipers and then shut them off they "park" in the UPRIGHT position on the windshield making it very annoying and pretty much hard to see. We replaced the wiper motor and everything and it is still continuing to do so. It is to the point where we have to pop the fuse out of the fuse box in the glove box at the right time to make them "park" in the right position. Once it starts to rain, we have to pull over and fuss with the fuse and put it back in and keep it on delay. It seems as if the wipers don't do there full cycle either. Any suggestions to what may be the problem? And if so, any way I could fix it myself? Please Help!

this is a Solution for Audi,i hope it will be useful to you
1.
Step 1
Pull the wiper arm assembly away from the windshield until the wiper arm hinge locks into a position perpendicular to the windshield.
2.
Step 2
Remove the retaining nut that holds the wiper arm assembly to the base of the windshield.
3.
Step 3
Pull the wiper arm assembly off the cowl.
4.
Step 4
Check the pivot assembly for any debris and clear away anything that might be lodged in the cowl with your fingers. The profile of many Audis is such that debris are easily lodged down behind the cowl or behind the pivot arm. This will cause the arm to not move as it should.
5.
Step 5
Turn on the wiper motor without the wiper arm assembly attached and cycle the wiper arm motor one time. Verify that the pivot assembly moves freely.
6.
Step 6
Put the wiper arm assembly back onto the pivot arm assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal.
