an electric motor draws a current of 11.5 amps in a 240 volt circuit. what is the power of this motor in W? What formula would i use?
watts = r * i^2 = v * i
power (watts) = 240 * 11.5 = 2760 watts. This is correct for a single phase motor, not a three phase motor
