what is the difference in using the hdmi cables than the red white green and blue cables for xbox 360?
The problem is that I don't know the difference is the Hdmi cable and the other cable for tv or hdtv
The multicolor cables are component video while the HDMI cables contain video and sound. Let me break it down this way:
Standard Definition:
Lower Quality: RGB - These cables will have red, white, and yellow jacks, for audio left, audio right, and video respectively.
Higher Quality: Component - These cables spilt the video into several parts, allowing for higher quality than RGB.
High Definition:
Higher Quality: HDMI - These cables contain high definition video and sound.
The bottom line is, if you have a standard definition television, use the component. There's no sense in going HD if your TV can't keep up. However, if you have an HDTV, then the component cables will be fine as well. For maximum quality, I recommend the HDMI cable, as it will give you the best possible picture on your HDTV.
